In Memory of
Emmalene Hall

Fellow members of Artists' Attic pay tribute to Emmalene Hall, founding member (1989), who departed this life October 5, 2008.

Em was a fighter for the underdog and a firm believer of equality and justice. (She marched with Dr. Martin Luther King.)

A native Eastern Kentuckian, she was known for her bright, impressionistic colors, bold brush strokes, vast imagination and the constant reworking of her wonderful paintings.  To quote Em: "It's not finished!"

Em painted any subject in oils and could "get a likeness in her portraits quicker than anyone with whom I've painted," according to a fellow artist friend of nearly forty years. Her vivid imagination, huge talent, support and dependability will be greatly missed!  Em Hall: 1928-2008
