Mary Seymour Neely was mentored by Louisville artist Lucy Diecks. Mary graduated from the University of Kentucky and continued her art studies at University of Michigan and Dayton Art Institute. Each summer she paints and studies in France, as her influences are Corot, Boudin, Bonheur, Gervex and Pajot. Mary Neely teaches an adult art education program through the University of Kentucky and, also, privately at her studio. Most recently her work was accepted into The Best and The Brightest Show in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her work can also be viewed at Gallery B, 145 W.
